Khushbus's Design Studio origin- My First store was Cocoon women's wear at Kodambakkam, Chennai. We started in Oct 2009. In October 2018 it was revamped as Khushbu's Design Studio. Khushbu's Design Studio is an exclusive boutique in Madurai. Our speciality is that we have unique collections, it is hand picked from various states. we have bridal lehenga, Salwar materials, readymades, designer dresses up to the trend. we do tailoring and Aari work. It is one step solution for all the brides from daily wear to bridal dresses. our speciality in tailoring is Bridal blouses, Theme dresses, customized dress. We also do all the regular stiching for ladies and kids like salwar, gowns & fancy Blouse. We have two outlets in madurai. We are one of the leading blouse experts in South Tamil Nadu. We are happy to have clients from various parts of Tamil Nadu.
As our Director Mrs Khushbu was passionate about Fashion . She started to get dresses from Mumbai and started to sell from her residence in Kodambakkam, Chennai . Many residents in that apartment were happy with our collections and we were also happy with the response from our neighbours . This inspired us to start a store and luckily we got a commercial space in the same apartment . On oct 18 , 2009 we started our store in the name of “Cocoon women’s wear” at Kodambakkam , Chennai .
It was Diwali season and we got tremendous response from many people in & around Kodambakkam area . We got many clients through word of mouth . Also few celebrities started to visit our store and got good feedbacks. We were awarded as the best boutique in Chennai by NDTV . They had a video shoot about our store and it was telecasted in NDTV HINDU Channel. We were extremely delighted by this honour .
Mrs. Khushbu got pregnant and was adviced to be in home town Madurai for medical reasons . After few years , her hunger towards fashion didn’t stop so she started Khushbu’s design studio in oct 2018 at chokkikulam , madurai .
We got a great start in Madurai . Client expected various varieties of dress and we were upgrading our collections rapidly . We used to source dresses from Mumbai , Jaipur , surat and Kolkatta . Ready to wear sarees and lehengas was a great hit in our madurai store .
As per our client requirement , we started our own Tailoring unit. We recruited experts from Kolkatta for the tailoring and aari works . We focussed hand embroidery works on bridal blouses as South tamilnadu is famous for the traditional silk sarees . Then we started Customised dresses for kids & ladies . Many birthday themed dresses for the whole family was getting trend in madurai . We were delighted to serve them . Then later we started our second store at west maasi street , opp to pothys . It’s now easy for clients Across madurai to shop their silk sarees in pothys and stitch their blouses to us by a walk .

Not like madurai people likes KHUSHBU’s design studio , also people from Sivakasi , Viruthunagar , dindugal , Theni , rajapalayam , tirunelveli , Sivagangai and few other parts of south Tamil Nadu visits our store frequently . For Tailoring needs we have a collection hub at palayamkottai , tirunelveli . Clients in & around tirunelveli can give their dresses for stichting at green trends , Murugankurichi store at Tirunelveli . We collect it and stitch the dresses as per ur requirement and deliver it to your place . Mrs Khushbu visits monthly once to tirunelveli to cater the tailoring needs of tirunelveli people . We are planning to open similar type of collection hub and tailoring stores across south tamilnadu soon
